Tasmanian Oak is the great aussie all rounder. It is used in many things from house framing all the way down to knitting needles! It is also the tallest flowering plant in the world, with trees reaching heights of 100 meters. It is a strong, hardy timber with makes it ideal for not only kitchens and internal doors, but external doors as well. It ranges from a pale straw colour through to a light pinkish brown. As the timber ages and is exposed to sunlight, it mellows to produce a warmer, deeper colour.
